Julie has spent a lifetime walking, riding, guiding and developing a great love and understanding of the wilds of Africa.  This is what she portrays in her paintings, a talent she has recently come to realise she has.  A passion for the preservation of nature, first-hand experiences and personal insight, add to her perception of the emotions and beauty of Africa and its people.    In her very early twenties Julie, with her colleague, cycled from Scotland, via Europe, across the African deserts and over Victoria Falls to Harare, raising funds and awareness for the Black Rhino in Zimbabwe.  Since then she has explored many parts of southern Africa, set up two foundations for conservation, published two books, and now through her art passes on her knowledge of the wilds and people of Africa. Julie lives near the Kruger National Park, South Africa.
