Growing up on a farm in Zimbabwe, Larry discovered a passion for wildlife, which was nurtured during expeditions with his family into the Zambezi Valley.  He began drawing at a very young age, learning from his grandmother, and spending days away from home with his dog, gun, and sketch book expanding his knowledge of nature.  After being awarded the prestigious Society of Animal Artist (Catasus) medal he studied under renowned wildlife artist the late Simon Coombes, refining his technique in oils.

Larry has traveled all over Africa, enjoying many adventures and unusual experiences, bringing to his work the ambience and emotions of Africa.  He has exhibited in New York and London, and now paints from Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, where he lives.
