WINCHESTER COTTAGES

WINCHESTER COTTAGES, with panoramic views of the rolling hills, Giant’s Castle and the Drakensberg Mountains, are two individual self-catering cottages on a family-owned working dairy farm in the KwaZulu Natal Midlands.

Special Features:  Cycling trails, from 2.6 km to 59.6 km through picturesque farm lands and forests have been designed with accompanying apps which are available to guests. Custom routes and apps can be requested. Lovely country walks and waterfall nearby. 

Accommodation:
Lulubelle:  Tastefully furnished, sleeping 4 people in two separate rooms, 1 queen-size bed and 2 single beds with a fully equipped kitchen, dining and lounge area and log burning fireplace.  A full bathroom. Undercover parking, veranda/patio with views over the dam with braai area and fenced with a small garden.

Clarabelle: Thatched with loft area for extra entertaining it has a large semi-enclosed patio. It sleeps four in two separate rooms with 1 queen-size bed and two singles.  Bathroom with bath shower and extra toilet, a fully equipped kitchen, dining and lounge areas with wood burning fireplace. There is undercover parking and a braai area.

Note:  Fresh farm milk and firewood are complimentary with a fair-use policy with extras available for a small fee.  The cottages can be serviced daily on request for an additional fee.  Free WI-FI and DSTV.

Travel Distance:  Approx 4 hrs from Johannesburg and 2 hours from Durban on theN3  branching off at Mooi River onto the Giant’s Castle road.  Winchester Farm is approx 20 kms on tar towards Giant’s Castle on the left.  There is 1.3 km farm road to the cottages, not suitable for cars with very low clearance.
