AFRICA TALKED is the public voice of Integrated Conservation Africa, formed 20 years ago by renowned conservationist and wildlife educator Ian Thomson, to encourage responsible management of Africa’s natural resources, flora and fauna.
Together with his wife Lesley, they have a life-time of living and working in all aspects of wildlife and tourism in Africa, promoting conservation education, leading safaris, managing lodges, training guides and sharing with scholars their expertise and knowledge of the Africa bush. As travel writers they have also published a book on managing a lodge in a very remote part of Africa.
AFRICA TALKED originated almost 10 years ago, to share with people worldwide the art, books, wildlife, conservation, responsible tourism, people and culture of Africa. Avid book collectors of the tales and legends of Africa, they encourage and promote authors and artists.
AFRICA TALKED regularly distributes a newsletter that alongside news and views on the African environment, also recommends books to read, presents art work and keeps you in touch with people who are, or have, made a difference to this special continent – Africa.
